Nutmeg Carrots
Nutmeg carrots are simple to make and a delightful but unusual side. The flavors make me think of autumn and the holidays, though I enjoy this dish year-round.

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound raw carrots chopped into bite sized pieces, about 1 cup
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Steam the carrots in a small pot of water about 15 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat and drain.
- Put the carrots back in the pot and add butter and nutmeg. Stir until the butter is melted and the nutmeg is evenly distributed on the carrots.
